Midlands Energy Assessors (MEA) is a Mullingar based company that provides energy assessments on domestic, commercial and industrial buildings in compliance with the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) which came into existence at the start of 2007.We provide our services at highly competitive rates and to an exceptionally high standard.

The company was established by Rodney Martin in 2008 and will provide independent advice on Building Energy Ratings Assessments to clients in order to help them to reduce and control their buildings energy usage. Ideally located in the heart of the Midlands, Midland Energy Assessors Ireland will liaise with all of the following groups/individuals: Estate Agents, Letting Agents and Landlords, Architects, Engineers, Solicitors, Construction Companies both large and small to help them achieve their BER requirements in a professional and most efficient manner.

BER Assessments
'BER' stands for Building Energy Rating and is required for all new dwellings from July 1st 2008 and all existing dwellings from 1st January 2009. A BER gives an objective scale of comparison for the energy demand and energy performance of a building and is similar to the' A to G' rating for electrical appliances.
Commercial & Industrial Energy Assessments
The BER now applies to all new Irish commercial and industrial builds submitted for planning after 1st July 2008. Midlands Energy Assessors commercial energy consultants Ireland will provide expert energy consultancy to developers of office, retail, public and industrial buildings.
Energy Audit
An Energy Audit or Energy Assessment of a building is a process that specifically demonstrates how much energy that building consumes combined with suggestions on how the building may be made more energy efficient based on the results of the testing.
Air Tightness Testing
Midlands Energy Assessors are qualified Irish Air Tightness Testers. Whether a building performs well or not in an air tightness test will determine how much energy is required to heat the building and how much is squandered through air leakage.
